Once upon a time, there were two brothers travelling through many towns and villages to look for happiness. One day, they saw an old man carrying a big bag.
The old man stopped the boys and asked them where they were going. The brothers told him that they were looking for happiness.
«I can help you.” said the old man.
Then, the old man put his hand in his pocket and pulled out a handful of golden coins. «Who wants these?» he asked.
«I want them!» answered the big brother quickly. Next, the old man pulled out a shiny diamond from another pocket, and asked again:
«Who wants this diamond?”
«I want it,» answered the big brother very quickly, so the old man gave him the diamond. Then the old man put down his bag and said:
«This bag is so heavy, I’m too tired to carry it. Who can help me to take my bag to the village?»
The big brother said nothing, but the little brother pulled up his sleeves and bent down to pick up the bag. The old man smiled and said:
«Take it with you, you can have everything inside the bag.»
«No, it’s not mine.»
«Take it, take it.» said the old man, «It’s my gift to you.»
The little brother opened the bag, and what did he see? The bag was filled with beautiful diamonds. He wanted to thank the old man, but the old man was gone.
