Once upon a time, there was a very fast Hare. He liked running and always showed off how fast he could run.
“Who wants to race me?” he asked.
“I want to race you.” a slow tortoise challenged him.
All the animals went to watch the race.
They shouted: “3… 2… 1… go!”
The Hare ran very fast and the Tortoise walked very slowly.
Soon, the Hare saw the finish line. The Tortoise was far behind him, so the Hare decided to stop and take a break. He fell asleep under a tree.
Later, the Tortoise walked quietly past the sleeping Hare. He didn’t stop walking until he reached the finish line.
The animals cheered so loudly for Tortoise that they woke the Hare up.
The Hare ran to the finish line, but he saw the tortoise had already won the race.
The tortoise smiled and said: “Slow and careful always win the race！”
